Many
people have problems with their broadband connections, these
can arise from many different problems. Here are some examples
if your modem will not synchronise with the BT exchange.
Please visit this link on Broadband filtering.
-
On a new installation, the telephone cables in your property
are star wired. This causes too many reflections
-
On a new installation, you live too far away from the
exchange to use the standard setup that came with your
broadband package. A NTE2000
Broadband socket needs to be fitted.
-
One of your sockets is wired incorrectly. This will cause
echoes
-
There is a fault on the internal wiring (this fault will
not necessarily affect your telephone)
-
There is something plugged into a phone socket which
does not have a filter
-
If your service provider increases your connection speed.
Any of the above may come into affect.

If your modem is in synchronisation with the BT exchange
